On Saturday, February 3rd, the Optimist Club was on hand to serve breakfast burritos at the 13th annual Mayor’s Community Breakfast. Breakfast was served by many clubs and organizations at Colvin Community Center. A large turnout showed up to eat and spend time with each other. There was so much food that many people needed two plates to contain it all. Breakfast was served at 9 a.m. and as the line wove through the community center and guests made their way to fill the downstairs. The gathering was aided by great weather.
Optimist Club members met the night before to prep club member Debra Heighter’s famous breakfast burritos. Each burrito contained sausage, chorizo, potato, egg, and cheese with lots of spice!
