On May 23 we held our first recognition of a new award for the club. Frances Lee came up with the idea of recognizing students throughout the year rather than just for our Youth Recognition Ceremony in November. The award created is called the Optimist Outstanding Youth Award and recognizes youth in our community that have done things that truly stand out. Frances and Cathy White will be co-chairing this program and we look forward to many more of these evenings.
